We have completed 3 months at Vivikta for our daughter Mishi who is 3.7 years old now and I must say that there are lot of positive changes that we see in her. My son is a 5 years old autistic kid. He has Apraxia of Speech. Wherever I went, nobody gave me hope that my son can speak although he had sounds and broken speech. I went to Shreya shetty ma'am in July 2020. My kid has improved so much in these 7 months, he has started talking in sentences, which now others also can understand. He tries new words, he tells what he wants, expresses his likes and dislikes. He still has a long way to go, but I am hopeful and my son is in very good hands. I am very grateful to Ms. shreya shetty. My son is going for speech therapy to her clinic, Vivikta from last ten years. Not even once a thought has come to my mind to try some other speech therapist. Bringing my son from minimal sound level to word level and now short phrases, she has done a commendable job. Been going to Shreya’s Vivikta clinic for a long time to help my son to improve his speech. While speech development has been good, the recent online sessions at Vivikta has been very helpful and useful during the pandemic, to improve upon the language and grammar skills. Now my son, Mayank is 11 years old. He started speech therapy with Shreya ma’am when he was 3 years old. There were times when his ABA therapist had told, "You are wasting your time on speech; it will never come for him and even if it comes it will not be clear". And actually there were days when I wandered there was no improvement at all. But with the belief in Shreya ma’am’s techniques and trust oh her words, I continued speech therapy with her. And today I am really glad to hear my son repeating whatever we say and he is able to communicate for few basic needs as well as he repeats some phrases. And the best part is, his speech is quite clear and anyone can understand what he says. It is all because of Shreya ma’am’s perseverance and commitment. I thank her for bringing Mayank to such a level and will continue further to make him improve more and more. She is the only speech therapist in Bangalore who works with expressive skills in older kids, while other speech therapists are extremely busy focusing on introducing AAC. Vikas has been attending speech therapy as well as occupational therapy at VIVIKTA since the end of 2014. As the case with many children, initially he was reluctant to attend the sessions. We literally used to drag him into the sessions on certain days. Gradually he started to understand why he had to attend the sessions. Subsequently we began to see improvements in his behaviour and speech. Starting with single syllable sounds, he picked up words, started identifying objects, began to request, and started using limbs and fingers effectively. And also gradually he learnt to do work requiring fine motor skills, counting of objects meanwhile improving in writing skills, reading skills and communicating in complete sentences. The therapists are teaching him patiently while observing his behaviours very keenly. They instruct us and guide us as in what to be done, how to be done, in which all ways a goal can be achieved and so on. Therefore we got the habit of following those instructions at home.
Special education sessions taken under Mrs. Archana at VIVIKTA influenced him in a great manner as he performed really well in his school admission entrance exam. As a result of such a performance he got through the entrance of a regular school in 2017 and till date he is engaged in his studies extremely well.

Hi! This is Preethisha. My son Jiyaan is under the guidance of the Special Educator, Mrs.Archana since few years. At first he was not able to grasp the pencil and write. He was little slow with identification of objects and he was not able to open his bag or zip it. Later on I started seeing some tremendous improvement. Now he can grasp the pencil and write and he identifies most of the objects. And the best part of the special educator is she has a set of goals to be covered. Simultaneously she is also working on his discipline. Overall I am quite happy and feel contented with the way she has been moulding my child. He has prepared well for the school and also he has become confident about himself. I am totally satisfied with his overall development after joining with VIVIKTA.

In the year of 2010 my son Vaishu was 3 years with no speech. He was using basic gestures to communicate. We were quite worried as his basic speech was missing and the people around us questioned us on his school admission. Then we decided to meet SLP Shreya Shetty. My daughter just had a few words in her vocabulary which she used to repeat always as she did not know more words. We felt that we need someone’s help in this case. "When we approached Vivikta for the first time our son was not saying anything other than singing rhymes. He was 2.5 years old then. In Vivikta they gave us an insight that early intervention is the best thing for our son and with the efforts of the therapists and the parents we could get our son to communicate normally. As days went we saw progress in our son. Now he is three years old and he is able to speak 3 to 4 word sentences with some amount of help. The materials used in the online session are helpful for our kids. I was not much happy to take online session earlier, because I was worried about how Yashveer behaves , how he makes use of it. But I was wrong, Yashveer started improving day by day and it educates me as well. I corrected many mistakes that I was doing with Yashveer. Online classes helped in all the way to improve Yashveer. I have a feedback to provide about the online speech sessions - I have found these to be more effective for several reasons:

1. I can see how he performs and discuss with therapist right away on how he is differently responding otherwise.
2. As a parent, I know my child more hence while at the session I can see where he is falling behind and I am able to help in those areas accordingly.
3. With me and the therapist alongside, he gets a picture of group conversations as well.

Overall it is much more beneficial with the parent sitting alongside the child.

My son is 4 years old now and he was diagnosed with Autistic disorder in month of Jan 2019. I was shattered the day I came to know about this. For many days I cried thinking what mistake I did that my son is suffering. But then I thought I will work towards this problem and give our best shot. For first 8 months we changed 2 therapy centers as we were not convinced by the approach of speech therapist.

Then I started taking speech and occupational therapy in Evolve last year from the month of October 2019. I am very much convinced and satisfied by the approach and the way the ST is taken. In initial few days the therapist told us that he has apraxia of speech as well. We were very upset but we thought we will put in our 100% efforts and work closely with the speech therapist, rest all will leave to god. I am really thankful to Ms. Riya and Ms. Chandana who had put in lot of efforts in the initial 7 months’ time and also guided us every time how to deal with child at home.

During pandemic me and husband started giving more attention to our child and did not leave him unmotivated. Special thanks to Ms. Shreya who has always motivated us which is very much required when we are dealing with our child. From past 7 months Ms. Shreya is taking the session and I can see lot of progress in my child. All her tips and guidance worked like magic for us. I am really grateful to Ms. Shreya for taking the speech therapy sessions during this pandemic. She connects with the child so well and also gives us right guidance time to time. We work at home as per her instructions and it has helped us and Vivaan. I know we still have long way to go but this journey will not complete without the help of speech and occupational therapist.
